Our International Services Department provides a full documentation service together with help and advice on all aspects of exporting. Thousands of consignments have been exported to countries throughout the world using documents processed by the Chamber. Our Export Documentation facility is used by an increasing number of companies seeking a fast and efficient local service which has been enhanced still further by the introduction of Electronic Certificates of Origin (e-cert). The Chamber is authorised to process Certificates of Origin for all countries of the world, with Chamber members receiving discounts of up to 50% on European Community Certificates.

You can now apply for E.C. and Arab-British Certificates of Origin on-line. Telephone the Export Department on 01923-442442 to ensure that you have a current Formal Undertaking & List of Authorised Signatures lodged with us, and to obtain our issuing body password, then log on at www.cofo.org.uk/watford. We will be very happy to arrange a training session here at the Chamber or at your premises.

5. Legalisation of documents at foreign embassies

6. Legalisation at Foreign and Commonwealth Office (F.C.O.)

7. Supply of Export Stationery

8. Supply of Export Publications

9. Access to business translation, interpretation and language courses

ELECTRONIC CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN (e-cert)

We provide a service which we provide to Exporters and Freight Forwarders who are now able to apply to our Export Documentation Department for Certificates of Origin by e-mail via the Internet.

e-cert is a new On-line documentation service developed through the British Chambers of Commerce.

 The benefits to the exporter are:

• Efficiency in completion of the form and delivery to the Chamber

• Cost savings in presenting the form to the Chamber ( couriers, post, staff time )

• Professional end product
